The End is Near

Yesterday we had a meeting with the principal of the school we have been considering for the girls for next year.  The meeting went really well.  The principal said all the right things and the school seems to have all of the programs and resources that we were hoping for.  We signed the initial intent forms for both of the girls to attend next year.

We still have to decide for sure which grade to put Emma in.  We are leaning towards fourth grade, but haven’t made it official yet.  The awesome thing is that the principal is leaving that decision up to us because she thinks that we know our own child better than she does!  Amazing.  What a difference from the last principal we tried to work with.

I will also have to decide what in the world to do with myself once both kids are in full time school.  I would like to be involved in the school and help out in the classroom, so I can get to know the teachers and students.  However, that will still leave me with a lot of free time.  I would love to find a part time job with flexible hours as my priority will always be the kids.  But, there are a lot of people job hunting and not a lot of jobs.  It should be interesting.
